最初于2012年開設于北京并于2014年搬到上海外灘源，德玉堂一直致力展覽與支持融匯東西方藝術精華的當代藝術家。畫廊長期與美術館、私人藏家以及各個機構緊密合作并為他們在獲取重要藏品的過程中提供專業建議及協助。

時至今日，德玉堂已經成功的為愛德華多·阿朗茲·布瓦羅（Eduardo Arranz-Bravo）、奧利沃·巴爾比埃利（Olivo Barbieri）、貝爾納·弗孔（Bernard Faucon）、康迪達·赫弗（Candida H?fer）、維克·穆尼斯（Vik Muniz）、尹朝陽和鄭在東等世界著名的當代藝術大師舉辦個展，同時也致力于展覽如托馬斯·坎托（Thomas Canto）、哈維爾·馬汀（Javier Martin）和楊泳梁等正在冉冉上升的藝術家的作品。德玉堂將更加積極的支持亞洲藝術家的創作與發展。

Matthew Liu Fine Arts is dedicated to support contemporary artists whose works exhibit profound understanding of Chinese and Western art. Initially founded in the west-wing of Oriental Plaza (東方廣場), Beijing in 2012 before moving to its current location on the Bund in Shanghai in 2014, Matthew Liu Fine Arts has been focusing its program on contemporary artists whose works exhibits profound understanding and fusion of the essence of the classic philosophy and aesthetics in Asian visual culture and theories, methods and media in Modern and contemporary Western art. Designed to evoke a connoisseur’s residence in Paris, the Beijing space was exclusively opened to collectors and scholars by appointment, and have held solo exhibitions for the renowned artists Zou Wou-ki (趙無極) and Ansel Adams, among many others. Since relocated to Shanghai, the gallery presents six exhibitions each year, and has been a vibrant participant to important art fairs. It has been actively working with, advising and assisting museums, curators, private collectors and institutions in the art world and beyond.

In the past three years Matthew Liu Fine Arts has successfully launched solo exhibitions for established contemporary masters, including Eduardo Arranz-Bravo, Olivo Barbieri, Bernard Faucon, Candida H?fer, Santi Moix, Vik Muniz, Yin Zhaoyang (尹朝陽) and Zheng Zaidong (鄭在東). At the same time, the gallery also brought in exciting exhibitions for emerging young artists, including Thomas Canto, Javier Martin, Alberto Peral, Fernando Prats, Namgoong Whan and Yang Yongliang (楊泳梁). The gallery publishes scholarly catalogues for each exhibition. Reviews of the gallery exhibition and literature of the represented artists and their works have regularly appeared in prominent local and international publications. Moving forward, we are excited to further our devotion in supporting contemporary regional artist, art production and creativity by infusing more local and Asian talents into the gallery program.
